Gamez’s OT Strike Lifts No. 10 Men’s Hockey Over UMass, 2-1

The sophomore winger recorded his first career two-goal game on Saturday night.

2016-17: Played 29 games for the Friars, posting four goals and five assists for nine points … scored in the season-opener against Miami (10/7) … notched a career-high three assists at Brown (10/30) … added a goal against No. 2 Denver (12/30) … registered his first-career multi-goal game, including the game-winner in overtime vs. UMass (2/25) … totaled 43 shots on goal.



2015-2016: Played 28 games for the Friars, scoring a total of seven points on the season (4-3-7) … scored first collegiate goal at Colgate (Oct. 31) … tallied a power play goal in each game against Merrimack in a home-and-home series (Dec. 4-5)… season high five shots on goal vs. Brown (Dec. 10) … notched assists against Ohio State (Oct. 24), Northeastern (Nov. 21), and UMass Lowell (Jan. 22) … netted game-winning goal later in the season against Merrimack in Game Two of the Hockey East Quarterfinals to clinch the series (March 12) … finished the season with a +3 overall rating.
