PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Fans are encouraged to participate in the first Friar Fan Step Challenge presented by UnitedHealthcare beginning at the men’s basketball game versus DePaul on Saturday, Jan. 5.
Fans can sign-up at the UnitedHealthcare registration table located in the lobby of the Dunkin’ Donuts Center at each of the following men’s basketball games: Saturday, Jan. 5 versus DePaul, Wednesday, Jan. 9 versus Syracuse, Saturday, Jan. 19 versus Villanova, and Tuesday, Jan. 22 versus Pittsburgh. Fans can participate as individuals or with a team.
Each participant will be given a pedometer to track their steps. The objective of the Friar Fan Step Challenge is to acquire the most steps by the end of the promotion on Tuesday, March 5, when the men’s basketball team hosts Seton Hall. Participants will return their pedometer and their steps will be recorded at the game.
The participant and team that each acquires the most steps at the end of the promotion will receive a prize courtesy of UnitedHealthcare.
