Men's Basketball Defeats Intra-state Foe Rhode Island, 80-61
The Providence men's basketball team (11-2) defeated the Rhode Island Rams (1-11) by the score of 80-61, on Friday, December 23, at the Ryan Center in Kingston, R.I. The game marks the first time the Friars have earned a victory at the Ryan Center.
Three Friars scored in double-digits versus the Rams. Sophomore Bryce Cotton (Tucson, Ariz.) led the team in scoring with 19 points. Sophomore Gerard Coleman (Boston, Mass.) added 16 while junior Vincent Council (Brooklyn, N.Y.) registered 15 points. Freshman Brice Kofane (Yaounde, Cameroon) grabbed 10 rebounds and nearly registered a double-double as he also added eight points.
