PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College men's basketball Head Coach Ed Cooley announced on November 14, 2012 that student-athlete Rodney Bullock (Hampton, Va.) signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Providence College beginning in September 2013.
Bullock, a 6-foot-7-inch, 210-pound forward attends Kecoughtan High School in Virginia. As a junior, Bullock averaged 14.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. He has started since his freshman season at Kecoughtan and has recorded 1,114 points in three seasons. Bullock was high school teammates with current Friar Josh Fortune at Kecoughtan. Bullock is ranked as the No. 30 power forward by Rivals.com and is ranked as the sixth best player in the class of 2013 in Virgnia and the 38th best power foward in the class, according the ESPN.com. He played for the Boo Williams AAU program.
"I believe Rodney Bullock is a great rebounder who really pursues the ball," Cooley stated. "He also has the ability to score from all over the court. Rodney creates matchup problems for defenders. Most importantly, he brings the type of character and winning attitude that we want to have at Providence College."
