$5 Game Tickets And $99 Season Tickets Available For Men's Basketball
Nov. 6, 2009
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- It was announced that the Providence College Athletics Department will sell a limited number of tickets for $5 for all of the non-conference home games, beginning with the World Vision Invitational game on Saturday, November 14. This special offer will go on sale on Monday, November 9, and the tickets must be purchased in advance at the box office in Alumni Hall or by calling 401-865-GO PC. The Athletics Department also is offering a limited number of $99 season ticket packages this year. The package includes all 18 home games at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. "In these tough economic times, we want to make it possible for all fans to enjoy Friar basketball at the Dunkin' Donuts Center," Providence College Athletics Director Bob Driscoll said. "With these discounted ticket opportunities, our fans can enjoy top-notch college basketball at a fraction of the price of other entertainment options in the area." Providence College took its first step to help fans ease the financial burden of buying season tickets by offering a payment plan in July. "For the first time ever, we offered a payment plan to season ticket holders this summer. Fans had the option of paying in six equal monthly payments stretching from July to December. About 50 percent of season ticket holders took advantage of this option this year," Driscoll said. In another first this season, the Athletics Department is offering affordable birthday party packages for all home games except Boston College, Connecticut, Syracuse and Marquette. All packages include a game ticket, a hot dog or pizza, soda, goody bag (children only), a birthday acknowledgement during the game, and a birthday card signed by the team. The price is $15 per guest. Fans interested in any of these ticket plans should call the Providence College Ticket Office at 401-865-GOPC from Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
