    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's basketball team held its annual Fanfest and Mal Brown Game (intra-squad scrimmage) on Saturday, October 22 at Alumni Hall. The White Shirts defeated the Black Shirts, 44-38, in a game of two 10-minute halves. Freshman LaDontae Henton(Lansing, Mich.) played for the Black Shirts and led all scorers with 18 points. Henton was 4-4 from three-point territory.

    The White Shirts were led by sophomore Bryce Cotton (Tucson, Ariz.) who recorded 17 points after making six of eight shots. Junior Vincent Council (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and sophomore Kadeem Batts (Powder Springs, Ga.) also scored in double figures for the White Shirts, recording 17 points and 15 points, respectively. Sophomore Ron Giplaye(Lowell, Mass.) was the game's top rebounder, grabbing nine boards for the White Shirts.

    The Friars will tip off the season on Tuesday, Oct. 25 with an exhibition game versus Assumption College at PC's Alumni Hall at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the door, at Friars.com, or by calling 401-865-GO PC.
