Men's Basketball Defeats Perugia, 79-46, In Rome, Italy On Monday

    ROME, Italy - The Providence College men's basketball team earned a 79-46 win over Perugia on Monday, Aug. 18 in Rome, Italy. The Friars were led by junior Tyler Harris (Dix Hills, N.Y.), who scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Friars. PC has posted a 2-0 mark on its 10-day tour of Italy.

    In addition to Harris' 27-point effort, senior LaDontae Henton (Lansing, Mich.) and sophomore Junior Lomomba (Montreal, Quebec) also scored in double figures. Henton and Lomomba each scored 17 points. Henton led the Friars with 11 rebounds. Senior Carson Desrosiers (Windham, N.H.) added 10 rebounds and four points in 29 minutes of action.

    The Friars will play their third and final game of the tour on Tuesday vs. Tiber Basket in Rome at 1 p.m. EST.
