Men's Basketball Player Bryce Cotton Selected To Join The Global Sports Academy Tour In Europe

    PROVIDENCE R.I.- - Providence College junior guard Bryce Cotton (Tucson, Ariz.) has been invited to attend a nine-day tour in Europe with the Global Sports Academy on August 1, 2012.

    The Global Sports Academy is a nonprofit organization participating in domestic and international competition. The overall mission of the GSA is to promote international goodwill and a better understanding between nations through sports.

    Cotton is entering his third season with the Friars. Last season, he was one of the most improved players in the BIG EAST. He averaged 14.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg and 2.3 apg in 2011-12. He also shot 37.9 percent from three-point territory.

    Cotton will train, compete and tour as part of the GSA All-Star Team in Belgium. He will also have the opportunity to take trips to Holland, France and Germany. Cotton's role for the team will be to act as an ambassador and represent the United States and Providence College while playing competitive basketball games internationally.
