    June 27, 2013

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Former Providence College guard Ricky Ledo (Providence, R.I.) was selected in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2013 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, June 27. Ledo, a 6-foot-6-inch, 195 pound shooting guard is the second Friar selected in the NBA Draft in the last three years. Former Friar Marshon Brooks was selected in the first round (25th overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics. Providence, which has a rich history in the draft, including the distinct honor of having the only No. 1 pick ever from a New England school (Jimmy Walker, 1967), now has had 41 players selected in the NBA Draft.

Ledo did not play in any games during his 2012-13 freshman season for the Friars. In September, the NCAA ruled that Ledo could not compete in games for the Friars in 2012-13. Ledo did practice and workout with the squad.
