PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- There are fewer than 20 tickets remaining for the dinner following the Cox Sports Friar Golf Classic on Monday, June 1 at the Warwick Country Club in Warwick, R.I. All of the foursomes are sold out for the Golf Classic, but Friar Fans can still purchase tickets for the dinner that will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m. followed by the meal at 7:00 p.m. at the Warwick CC. Tickets for the dinner at $60 and can be purchased by calling Jennifer Cote at (401) 865-1880 or online at http://www.alumniconnections.com/olc/pub/PRV/eventcal/eventcal.cgi.

Fans purchasing tickets to the dinner will have the opportunity to meet former men's basketball players Ryan Gomes, Otis Thorpe, Marvin Barnes and many more. Guest speakers at the dinner will be Providence College President Father Brian J. Shanley, Athletics Director Bob Driscoll, Head Coach Keno Davis and WEEI's Dale Arnold.

During the dinner, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on some great prizes in the auction. Some of these prizes include, jerseys autographed by Randy Moss, Paul Pierce, Dwayne Wade, Ryan Gomes, and Zach Parise. There also will be an autographed basketball from the 2008 Team USA men's Olympic basketball team, Patriots' tickets, Red Sox tickets and two tickets on a Providence College men's basketball team charter flight to a road game during the 2009-10 season.

All proceeds will benefit the Friar Athletic Fund. Golfers will tee off at 1:00 p.m. and a reception will follow at 6:00 p.m. Last year's Classic raised more than $100,000 for the Friar Athletic Fund.
