PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College men's basketball team, which captured the 2014 BIG EAST title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, will participate in the 2014 Tip-Off Tournament at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. on November 22 and 23. The Friars will face ACC foe Florida State on November 22 at 2:30 p.m. The following day, the Friars will play ACC foe Notre Dame at 2:30 p.m.
The Friars' other two games in the Tip-Off will take place at the Dunkin' Donuts Center when Providence hosts Binghamton on November 17 and the United States Naval Academy on November 20.
All the teams scheduled to participate in this year's Tip-Off tournament are: Binghamton University (AEC), University of Notre Dame (ACC), Manhattan College (MAAC), Florida State University (ACC), United States Naval Academy (Patriot League), Providence College (Big East), Northeastern University (CAA) and University of Massachusetts (Atlantic 10).
The Friar Box Office will allow men's basketball season ticket holders to purchase tickets in the Providence section via their online account. Bus transportation also will be available and detailed pricing and purchasing information will be sent directly to eligible fans via email early next week.
