Providence, R.I. - Only 300 tickets remain for Providence College's gala event to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 1987 men's basketball team's trip to New Orleans to compete in the Final Four. The event will be held at the Rhode Island Convention Center on Saturday, May 12, 2007 beginning at 7:00 p.m.

"Tickets for this event have been going fast and we are looking forward to selling out the gala. Only 300 tickets remain so we are encouraging fans, alums and athletic supporters to get their tickets now!" said Steve Napolillo, Associate Athletic Director for the Friar Athletic Fund.

Sponsorship packages, tables of ten or individual tickets for the gala celebrating one of the most memorable seasons in Friar athletic history can be purchased by calling Steve Napolillo at 401-865-2677. Tickets also can be ordered online at www.friars.com. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Friar Athletic Fund.
