Providence College Athletics Holds Event At PJ Clarke's In New York City

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Providence College Athletic Department held an event in anticipation of the BIG EAST Men’s Basketball Tournament on Wednesday, March 7 at PJ Clarke’s Sidecar Restaurant in New York, N.Y. The event was hosted by Providence College Alumni, Tom Boyan ’85.

The event was attended by 100 alumni and donors of Providence College. Greeting the attendees were the College’s President, Reverend Brian J. Shanley, O.P., Athletics Director Bob Driscoll and men’s basketball Head Coach Ed Cooley. The event, which is held annually, has raised over $500,000 over the last 10 years for the men’s basketball program and the athletic department.

During the event, the final Ed Cooley Radio Show of the 2017-18 season was aired live on 103.7 FM WEEI.

The Friars will face BIG EAST foe Creighton University on Thursday, March 8 at 2:30 p.m. at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y. The game will be broadcast on FS1.
