It marks the first time Hill or McDermott has earned NABC honors and the first time a Friar has been named to the First Team since Ryan Gomes earned the accolade in 2005. The last time PC had two players earn NABC All-District honors in the same season was 2001 when Erron Maxey and John Linehan were each named to the second team. Thirty five former Friars have been named to the NABC All-District 1 First Team. Hill, one of the most improved players in the BIG EAST this season, is averaging 17.3 ppg and 8.4 rebounds. He became the first Friar to post a 20-20 game since Marvin Barnes accomplished the feat in 1974. On February 24, Hill recorded a career-high 29 points and registered 15 rebounds against Syracuse. He has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week and he has earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll accolades four times this season. He ranks fifth all-time at Providence College with 172 blocks.

McDermott has recorded 10 double-doubles this season, including the first triple-double at PC since 1999 when he registered 12 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists versus Harvard on December 22. With three more assists this season, he can become the first Friar ever to register more than 150 assists and more than 250 rebounds in the same season. Has registered 10 or more rebounds in 12 of the team's 27 games, including six games with 13 or more rebounds. McDermott also has added five or more assists in 16 of the team's 27 games, including three games with 10 or more assists. He is averaging 10.5 points per game.
