KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Providence College men's basketball senior Donnie McGrath (Katonah, N.Y.) was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District Team on Friday afternoon. A Second-Team honoree, McGrath currently leads the Friars with a 15.5 points per game average including 67 three pointers.

Already the school's all-time leader with 264 three-pointers, McGrath tied a career-high earlier this week with a 28-point performance against No. 9/9 Pittsburgh on February 15. Making 113 career starts for the Friars, McGrath also has proved very durable for Providence totaling 3,937 minutes, second only to former teammate Ryan Gomes who accumulated 4,077. Earlier during his senior season, McGrath became the 37th Friar all-time to score 1,000 or more points. He currently has 1,228 career points to rank 19th all-time in men's basketball history at Providence. In addition, the Friars are 26-15 (.634) when McGrath scores 14 or more points in a game.

Providence men's basketball (11-12, 4-8 BIG EAST) returns to action on Tuesday, February 21 against South Florida. The 7:30 p.m. contest will be telecast live online via ESPN360. Shown on ESPN's new internet-based programming arm, the game will look just a regular television broadcast, but be available solely through your computer. In the Providence area including Southeastern Massachusetts, Verizon DSL subscribers and Adelphia subscribers will be able to watch the contest for free. In addition, the game will be available to students and faculty members on both the South Florida and Providence campuses. To learn more about seeing the game in your area, visit www.espn360.com or click here.

Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, the 150 student athletes from 15 districts are now eligible for the NABC Division I All-American Team to be announced at the conclusion of the men's basketball season.
