PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College junior guard Bryce Cotton (Tucson, Ariz.) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday, January 28. It marks the fifth time this season that he has been named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll.
Cotton averaged 21.5 points, four rebounds and 3.5 assists as the Friars posted a 0-2 mark last week. He shot 14-25 from the field (56.0 percent) overall, including 7-16 from three-point territory. He played 39 minutes in each game. Cotton scored a game-high 24 points and was 4-9 from three point territory in the Friars' loss to Pittsburgh on January 22. On January 26, he scored a game-high 19 points and he shot 3-7 from three-point territory in the Frairs game at Marquette. Cotton leads the league and ranks fifth in the nation in scoring, averaging 21.7 ppg.
The Friars will return to action on Thursday, January 31 at 7:00 p.m. versus UConn on ESPN2 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. Tickets can be purchased at Friars.com.
