PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College junior guard Bryce Cotton (Tucson, Ariz.) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday, January 14. Cotton averaged 23.5 points and 6.0 rebounds as the Friars posted a 1-1 mark last week. It marks the third time this season that Cotton was named to the Honor Roll.
Cotton shot 15-23 from the field (.652), including an impressive 8-14 from three point territory (.571). Cotton had 24 points in the Friars six-point loss to No. 7 Syracuse on January 9. He was 5-8 from three-point territory. On January 13, Cotton helped the Friars earn their first road win of the season and first BIG EAST victory when he recorded a game-high 23 points. He also grabbed nine rebounds. He was 3-6 from three-point territory. Cotton leads the Friars and the BIG EAST in scoring, averaging 21.6 ppg.
The Friars will return to action on Wednesday, January 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Georgetown.
