PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Providence College men's basketball team played its second exhibition game of the season today (Nov. 3) against Rhode Island College. The Friars earned a 76-52 victory which marked the team's second exhibition win of the season.

Both teams struggled with making shots in the first half, shooting 1-16 combined during the first four minutes of play. The Friars continued to struggle, trailing at halftime, 25-24. Junior Lee Goldsbrough(Newcastle, England) had eight rebounds in first half.

The Friars started off the second half with a 14-1 run to put them back in the lead. The Anchormen, led by Tahrike Carter, kept the game close during the second half, but were outscored 52-27. This was due in large part to five consecutive deep shots made from freshman Josh Fortune(Hampton, Va.).

Fortune led the team with 22 points. Senior Vincent Council (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had 21 points and added nine assists. Sophomore LaDontae Henton(Lansing, Mich.) scored in double-figures with 13 points. Goldsbrough finished the game with 12 rebounds and eight points.
