PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Herbert Hill scored 25 points and Weyinmi Efejuku added 24 to lift Providence to its fifth win in six games, a 91-69 victory over Seton Hall Saturday.

Geoff McDermott added 14 points and 15 rebounds for Providence (12-3, 2-0 Big East).

Brian Laing scored 24 points to lead the Pirates (9-5, 1-1). Eugene Harvey added 16 and Jamar Nutter and Larry Davis each had 12.

The Pirates recovered from a 12-0 Friar start in the first five minutes, mounting a 19-5 run behind eight points by Larry Davis and seven by Laing.

After six lead changes, McDermott, Hill and Efejuku combined for 29 points on 13-of-24 shooting to spark the Friars to a 38-32 halftime lead.

Hill, a 6-11 center, began the second half by scoring 10 of the Friars' first 13 points as Providence outscoring Seton Hall 50-28 in the paint for the game. The Friars also outrebounded Seton Hall 47-26.

The Friars held Seton Hall to 34 percent shooting in the second half, and made 24-of-31 foul shots compared with 13-of-18 for the Pirates.
