Josh Sash enters his first season as the video coordinator for the Friars. Sash worked under Providence Head Coach Keno Davis at Drake last season, serving as a graduate assistant for the Bulldogs during their 28-5 season that culminated in a trip to the NCAA Tournament. He is currently finishing his master's degree in Education & Effective Teaching from Drake. Prior to 2007, Sash spent four years as an undergraduate student assistant for the William Penn University men's basketball program. The Oskaloosa, Iowa, native helped guide the Statesmen to a school-record 25 wins in the 2006-07 season, along with the conference regular season title, the conference tournament title and a berth in the NAIA national tournament. He earned his degree in physical education/coaching in December of 2006. Sash also served as an assistant coach with Martin Brothers Select AAU team in 2006 and spent his summers working multiple basketball camps throughout the Midwest. Sash is engaged to Analeigh Maxfield with the couple planning a wedding for the spring of 2009.
