Cary Collins enters his third season on staff with Providence College Basketball.
Collins is in charge of the day-to-day operations. Among his duties are the coordination of the players' game day, practice and daily schedule, equipment, team travel, team meals and on-campus recruiting. Collins also oversees all facilities related to Providence College Basketball including "The Dunk" and Alumni Hall. He also serves as liaison to the athletic department's administration, as well as Providence College's administration, faculty and staff. And coordinates the graduate staff, student managers, volunteer managers, office staff and serves as director of the Keno Davis Basketball Camps.
Collins came to Providence College from ESPN. From 2001-2008 Collins worked as a production assistant, associate producer and feature producer for the worldwide leader in sports.
A graduate from the University of Iowa, Collins worked as a student manager for the Iowa Basketball Team under Head Coach Dr. Tom Davis. Collins was the Head Manager for the Hawkeyes from 1995-1997. Collins moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida to work for PGA TOUR Productions after his time at the University of Iowa. He worked as a production assistant and scheduler of the post production and live studio facilities at PGA TOUR Productions from 1997-2001.
Collins was born in Le Mars, Iowa.
