The Providence College Swimming & Diving teams defeated in-state rival Bryant University on Saturday, November 15 at home in Providence, R.I.  The Friar men cruised to their third-straight victory, defeating the Bulldogs, 148-112.  On the women's side, the Friars earned their second win of the season, 151-111.

The Friar women earned nine individual first place finishes and one relay win.  Sophomore Alexis Fatigati (New Milford, N.J.) and seniors Lauren Sepe (Warwick, R.I.) and Blair Flynn (Middletown, R.I.) had two individual first place victories apiece.  Fatigati took the 200-meter freestyle (2:12.32) and the 200-meter IM (2:33.44), Sepe won the 100-meter breaststroke (1:19.15) and the 200-meter breaststroke (2:53.87), and Flynn earned first in the 50-meter freestyle (28.56) and the 100-meter freestyle (1:01.19).  The three teamed with sophomore Allie Pelle (West Islip, N.Y.) to win the 200-meter medley relay in a time of 2:10.29.

On the men's side, senior Chris Ray (Basking Ridge, N.J.) and junior Mathew Card (Bow, N.H.) earned two first place wins apiece.  Ray took the 100-meter breaststroke (1:12.16) and the 200-meter breaststroke (2:41.46).  Card won the 100-meter freestyle (53.96) and the 100-meter butterfly (59.75). 

The Friars return to action on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6, when they travel to Kingston, R.I. to compete at the Harold Anderson Invitational.  Friday's competition is set to start at 5:00 p.m., and Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
