The Providence College women's swimming and diving team was defeated by the University of Rhode Island on Friday, Nov. 4 in Providence, R.I. The Rams topped the Friars, 146-105.
The Friars were able to secure first place in five events in the 14 event meet.
Junior Katherine Fallon (Warren, N.J.) was the first to touch the wall in the 400-meter freestyle, finishing with a time of 4:38.71.
Junior Hayley McClure (West Hartford, Conn.) earned a first place finish with her time of 30.21 in the 50-meter butterfly.
The Providence College Friars return to the pool in New Rochelle, N.Y. on Saturday, Nov. 12 when they face off against the Iona Gaels.
