Providence College Men's Swimming & Diving Drops to Boston College

The Providence College men's swimming & diving team traveled to Chestnut Hill on Sunday, November 4 to take on the Boston College Eagles. Coming off a loss on Saturday at home against Fairfield, the Friars hoped to end their weekend with a win on the road. Despite a solid effort, Providence fell to Boston College, 180-97. PC's men's swimming & diving drops to 0-4 on the season. Junior Justin Rich (Branford, Conn.) and sophomore Matthew Card (Bow, N.H.) led the way for the Friars, each winning one solo event before teaming up with freshman Brian Silva (Seekonk, Mass.) and sophomore Owen Hughes (Portland, Maine) to capture a relay event as well. The team took first place with a time of 1:33.50 in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Rich's solo victory came in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.31. Card squeeked by Boston College's Timothy Jordan by .11 seconds to take the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 55.98 Providence College men's and women's swimming & diving are back in action on Saturday, November 10. The Friars will travel to Montclair, N.J. to take on Montclair State at 11:00 a.m. Complete Release in PDF Format
