The Providence College swimming & diving teams hosted Lehigh University for their season-opener on Saturday, October 18 in Providence, R.I. at the Taylor Natatorium.  The Friars struggled against the Mountain Hawks, with the women falling 151-72, and the men dropping a 155-80 decision.

Freshman Jordan Rivera (Rockville, Md.) was the only male Friar on the day to earn a first place finish, leading the way in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:13.89.  On the women's side, senior Lauren Sepe was the only first place finisher, getting the win in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:20.82.

The Friars return to action on on Friday, October 24 when they travel to Washington, D.C. to take on American University at 1:00 p.m.  While in D.C., Providence will also compete against Georgetown and George Washington University in a three-school meet on Saturday, October 25, at 11:00 a.m.
