Three records fall; one tied for the Friars at the BIG EAST Championships
Sophomore John Fatigati placed 16th overall in the 200y IM while also breaking the school record.
The Friars saw the women's 800y freestyle relay record fall on the first day of the BIG EAST Championships.
Sophomores John Fatigati and Justin Tse each won two races for the Friars.
The Friars notched 27 first-place finishes in 32 events.
As a Senior: Finished eighth on the team with 105.5 points ... Collected five individual second-place finishes ... Swam a personal-best 24.82 in the 50y freestyle and 54.51 in the 100y freestyle at the BIG EAST Championships ... Also qualified for the BIG EAST Championships in the 200y freestyle and the 100y breaststroke while participating in the 200y medley relay and 400y freestyle relay ... Finishes career with 620.75 points, ranking sixth on the all-time list for the Friars. As a Junior: Collected 112.00 points this season and a first place finish in the 50y freestyle (25.50) in a win against Holy Cross...Swam the third-fastest 50y freestyle (24.85) and 100y freestyle (54.87) and the fourth-fastest 100y breaststroke (1:08.94)for the team this season...Member of both the 200y freestyle relay (1:37.15) and 400y freestyle relay (3:30.24) teams which set school records at the BIG EAST Championships...Also qualified for the BIG EAST Championships in the 50y freestyle, 100y breaststroke and 100y freestyle events...Currently 13th on the all-time scoring list and the active leader in career points with 517.25... As a Sophomore: Third on the team in scoring (first among sophomores) with 151 points...Set the team's season-best time for the 50m free (28.05) on January 29, 2011...Swam the final leg of all seven relay foursomes that set season-best times (200m, 200y, 400m and 400y free relays; 200m, 200y and 400y medley relays)...Earned two individual first-place finishes on the year (both on January 29, 2011 against Holy Cross)...Qualified for and competed in the 200y medley relay, 50y free, 200y free relay, 100y breast, 400y medley relay, 100y free and 400y free at the BIG EAST Championships.
