Providence College To Offer Video Streaming Of Athletic Events Via The Internet
Aug. 20, 2007 PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College is teaming up with its athletic website provider, CSTV, to offer video streaming of athletic events, press conferences and interviews during the 2007-08 fall, winter and spring sports seasons. The video will be offered through a subscription service and can be accessed by clicking on the All-Access link on www.friars.com. Subscription information, including fees, may be obtained by clicking on the All-Access link located on the www.friars.com main page. Select video of games, press conferences and interviews also may be available free of charge through the use of All-Access. Providence's video streaming coverage will begin during the 2007 fall sports season. Live video streaming coverage for fall sports will include field hockey (five games) and women's volleyball (five games). Archived video will be available for two men's soccer games and two women's soccer games during the season. Archived video will be available after the completion of the selected games. As the Friars move into the winter and spring sports seasons, live video will be available for select men's and women's basketball, men's and women's ice hockey and men's lacrosse games. Archived video will be available for select Providence College softball games.
