Providence Athletics Raised A Record $4 Million In 2012-13
July 18, 2013
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College Athletics Director Bob Driscoll announced today that the athletic development staff raised a record $4 million in 2012-13 through donations. The money raised helps support all 19 of the Friar Division I programs, the Friars Forever Fund and capital projects. The Providence College Athletic Development Office has steadily increased its fundraising efforts each of the last eight years. In 2005, the department raised $400,000.
"Under the outstanding leadership of Steve Napolillo and the entire athletic development staff, we were able to fundraise a record amount of money in 2012-13," Driscoll said. "I am extremely proud of this accomplishment and so grateful for the generosity of our many great donors. Each donated dollar went back to positively impact the quality of our student-athlete lives."
