Department Announces Mission 4 Million
June 6, 2013
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - It was announced today that the Providence College Athletics Department has launched a Mission 4 Million fundraising campaign, which it hopes will enable the Department to raise over $4 million dollars by June 30, 2013. The Athletics Department has fundraised a record $3.6 million this year and for the first time ever is striving to reach the $4 million mark in a fiscal year.
"We are so excited and appreciative of the generosity of all our donors," Athletics Director Bob Driscoll said. "Providence College Athletics is within reach of the $4 Million mark in cash raised for the year and we are very proud of all the support our loyal fans have given us. As we prepare to enter the new BIG EAST and a newly expanded HOCKEY EAST, this revenue is critical to build and support championship programs. We are calling on all Friar alumni, student-athletes, parents, season ticket holders and fans to help us achieve this milestone so that we can continue our goal to be one of the most competitive programs in the nation."
All gifts to the Friars Forever Fund, sport specific funds and facilities will be counted towards the goal. If you are interested in supporting Mission 4 Million, please visit givetopc.org or call (401)865-1090.
