Providence College Ranks 13th In The Capital One Cup Women's Fall Standings

McLean, Va. - Providence College is currently ranked 13th in the Capital One Cup women's standings, with 12 points. The Friar women's cross country team earned each of the 12 points with a with top-10 performance at the NCAAs this fall. The women's team finished second at the 2012 NCAA Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Ky.
The Capital One cup is awarded to honor the top men's and women's college athletics programs in the country. Depending on the strength of the performances of the winter and spring sports at Providence, the Friars have the opportunity to bring home the Capital One Cup and $200,000 in scholarship funds to their athletics department.
