Providence College, seeded No. 7, will battle UMass Lowell, seeded No. 2, in a best-of-three Hockey East Quarterfinal series, beginning on Thursday, March 8 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass. It will mark the fourth time that the two teams will face each other in the Hockey East Quarterfinals. The last time that PC and UML squared off in the quarterfinals was in 1997 as the River Hawks swept the best-of-three series. GAME NOTES
Providence College will play the UMass Lowell River Hawks in a best-of-three Hockey East quarterfinal series, beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass. The second game of the series is at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9 and if a third game is necessary it will be at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11. All games will be played at the Tsongas Center.
