Providence College, seeded No. 7, will battle UMass Lowell, seeded No. 2, in a best-of-three Hockey East Quarterfinal series, beginning on Thursday, March 8 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass. It will mark the fourth time that the two teams will face each other in the Hockey East Quarterfinals. The last time that PC and UML squared off in the quarterfinals was in 1997 as the River Hawks swept the best-of-three series.
