Providence will look to clinch its first Hockey East playoff spot since 2008 when it hosts No. 8 UMass Lowell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2 at Schneider Arena. The Providence College men's hockey team (12-14-4, 10-10-3) and
Northeastern (11-14-5, 7-12-4) played to a 2-2 overtime draw Saturday
night in a Hockey East game played at Matthews Arena in Boston, Mass.
It marked the second consecutive night that the two teams skated to a
tie after last night's 1-1 game. The Friars recorded a season-high 49
shots, but Northeastern's Chris Rawlings made a season-high 47 stops.

It's the third time this season that the Friars have earned the league's team of the week honors. For Schaller, it's the second time he has garnered the league's player of the week accolade. different goal scorers en route to a 5-4 win over UMass (10-13-5,
6-11-4) Saturday night in a Hockey East game played at the Mullins
