    Friars Host No. 8 UMass Lowell Friday on Senior Night

    Providence will look to clinch its first Hockey East playoff spot since 2008 when it hosts No. 8 UMass Lowell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2 at Schneider Arena.  The two teams will complete the regular season the following night in Lowell, Mass.  Providence needs one win or a tie to lock up a playoff berth.     GAME DAY - PROVIDENCE AT #2 BC - Sat., Feb. 25 - 3:30 PM

    Friars Tie Northeastern For Second Consecutive Night

    The Providence College men's hockey team (12-14-4, 10-10-3) and Northeastern (11-14-5, 7-12-4) played to a 2-2 overtime draw Saturday night in a Hockey East game played at Matthews Arena in Boston, Mass. It marked the second consecutive night that the two teams skated to a tie after last night's 1-1 game. The Friars recorded a season-high 49 shots, but Northeastern's Chris Rawlings made a season-high 47 stops. RECAP | USCHO RECAP

    Nate Leaman Featured On USCHO Live on Tuesday Night

    Friar Head Coach Nate Leaman was featured on USCHO.com's radio show, USCHO Live, Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m.  Leaman and the Friars are coming off a pair of wins over the weekend.  Providence defeated #12 Maine, 4-3, at Schneider Arena on Friday and posted a 5-4 road win at UMass on Saturday.  CLICK HERE TO LISTEN

    Tim Schaller Named Semifinalist For Walter Brown Award

    The Gridiron Club of Greater Boston announced that Providence College men's hockey junior forward Tim Schaller (Merrimack, N.H.) was named one of 21 semifinalists for the 60th Walter Brown Award, presented annually to the best American-born college hockey player in New England.  FULL STORY | WALTER BROWN HISTORY

    Friars And Tim Schaller Earn Hockey East Weekly Honors

    The Providence College men's hockey team was named Hockey East Team of the Week, while junior forward Tim Schaller (Merrimack, N.H.) was tabbed Hockey East Co-Player of the Week on Monday, February 13.  It's the third time this season that the Friars have earned the league's team of the week honors.  For Schaller, it's the second time he has garnered the league's player of the week accolade.  FULL RELEASE

    Friars Win At UMass, 5-4

    Providence College (12-14-2, 10-10-1) used five different goal scorers en route to a 5-4 win over UMass (10-13-5, 6-11-4) Saturday night in a Hockey East game played at the Mullins Center in Amherst, Mass. The Friars jumped out to a 4-1 lead and held on to earn their second win of the weekend. RECAP

    The Providence College men's hockey team scored three times in the first period and held off No. 12 Maine, 4-3, Friday night in a Hockey East game played at Schneider Arena. With the win, the Friars ended Maine's six-game winning streak and it marked PC's first triumph over the Black Bears since January 16, 2010. RECAP

    Former Friar Colin McDonald Recalled To The NHL

    Former Friar Colin McDonald '07 was recalled by the Pittsburgh Penguins.  McDonald, who represented the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the AHL All-Star Classic on Monday, played in two games in his first stint with Pittsburgh this season. FULL RELEASE
