    The Friars, who are coming off back-to-back wins over No. 1 Merrimack, will complete a stretch of three games in five days against No. 3/3 Boston College on Tuesday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. in Chestnut Hill, Mass.  The Friars are seeking their first win over the Eagles since February 29, 2008.

    The Friars were featured in Tuesday's (Dec. 6) edition of the Providence Journal.  The article previews tonight's game between the 20th-ranked Friars and the third-ranked Boston College Eagles at Kelley Rink in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

    Friars, Alex Beaudry Earn Hockey East Weekly Honors

    The Friars were named Hockey East Co-Team of the Week, while senior goalie Alex Beaudry (Cumberland, Ont.) was tabbed Hockey East Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, December 5.  It's the second time this season that the Friars have earned the league's team of the week honors (October 17 was the other).  For Beaudry, it's the sixth time in his career that he has garnered the league's defensive player of the week accolades and the first this season.

    Friars Ranked No. 20 In USCHO.com Poll

    Providence College is ranked 20th in this week's USCHO.com national poll which was released on Monday, December 5.  It marks the first time since March 2008 that the Friars have been ranked nationally.  USCHO.COM POLL

    Friar Coach Nate Leaman Featured New England Hockey Journal

    Providence Head Coach Nate Leaman was recently featured on the New England Hockey Journal website (hockeyjournal.com).  The feature focuses on the three new coaches in Hockey East.

    Friars Power Past No. 1 Merrimack, 6-1

    Providence erupted for four power-play goals in the second period (five total) en route to a 6-1 victory over No. 1 Merrimack Saturday night in a Hockey East game played Lawler Arena. With the victory, the Friars (8-6-1, 6-3-0) completed the weekend sweep of the top-ranked Warriors (9-2-1, 6-2-1). In addition, the Friars earned their first Hockey East road win since October 31, 2009. It also marked PC's first win at Lawler Arena since March 3, 2007.

    GAME NIGHT - PROVIDENCE VS. NO. 1 MERRIMACK - Sat., Dec. 3

    Providence will complete its weekend series versus No. 1 Merrimack tonight at Lawler Arena in North Andover, Mass.  Last night, the Friars ended No. 1 Merrimack's 10-game unbeaten streak with a 2-1 overtime victory at Schneider Arena.  The Friars are looking for their first win at Lawler Arena since March 3, 2007.

    Friars Knock Off No. 1 Merrimack, 2-1, In OT

    Freshman Ross Mauermann scored 1:54 into overtime to lift the Providence College men's hockey team (7-6-1, 5-3-0 HE) to a 2-1 victory over previously unbeaten and No. 1 ranked Merrimack College (9-1-1, 6-1-1 HE) Friday night at Schneider Arena in front of a crowd of 2,381. The victory was the first for the Friars against a No. 1 ranked team since January 3, 2003 (a 4-2 triumph over No. 1 Maine).

    GAME NIGHT - PROVIDENCE VS. MERRIMACK - Fri., Dec. 2

    Providence will play a weekend series against unbeaten and No. 1 nationally ranked Merrimack on Friday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Schneider Arena. The game will be aired live on Cox Sports. The following night, the Friars will travel to North Andover, Mass. to face the Warriors at Lawler Arena in a game that will be televised by Universal Sports Network.

    Tim Schaller Featured In Today's Nashua (N.H.) Telegraph

    Providence junior assistant captain Tim Schaller was featured in today's Nashua (N.H.) Telegraph.  Schaller leads the Friars in goals scored (8) and is second with 10 points. Schaller and the Friars will play two games this weekend against No. 1 Merrimack, beginning on Friday, December 2 at Schneider Arena. The two teams will complete the series on Saturday, December 3 at Merrimack's Lawler Arena.
